How to enter a show
Register
Open the show’s registration link (or the big button on the home page) and fill in the form — your name, contact details, rose society, and the division you’ll compete in. Registering creates your account in the same step; just choose a password. Already have an account? Log in first and the form gets even shorter.
Add your photos
Click + Add photo. Pick the class (the category your photo competes in), name the rose if the class asks for it, then choose your photo — tap the box to pick from your photo library, drag & drop, or use Take a photo with your camera. Press Submit photo and you’ll see a green confirmation with your entry number. You can enter up to 8 photos per class.
Check, edit, or replace anytime
Your entries page shows every photo you’ve submitted, grouped by class. Use Edit to fix a rose name, move it to a different class, or swap in a different photo — any time until the show’s deadline.
Watch for results
After judging finishes, you’ll get an email and a 🏆 View results button appears when you log in.
+Do I need to crop or resize my photos first?
No. Upload your photo exactly as it is — the site sizes it automatically, and judges always see your whole photo, never a cropped version. Small previews may look trimmed to fit their box; the judged image is not.
+Can I upload straight from my iPhone or iPad?
Yes — photos from Apple devices (including HEIC format) work. Tap the upload box, choose from your photo library (or take a new photo), and submit. If a photo won’t go through, try choosing it again or use a different photo — and if it keeps failing, contact us below and we’ll sort it out.
+Will the judges know which photos are mine?
No. Judging is anonymous — judges see only an entry number (like #48213), never your name. Names are revealed only when the results are published.
+What's the difference between a division and a class?
Your division is the experience group you compete in (for example Master, Amateur, or Junior) — you pick it once when you register. A class is the category an individual photo competes in (One Bloom, One Spray, and so on) — you pick one for each photo. Each show’s registration page describes its own divisions and classes.
+How many photos can I enter?
Up to 8 photos in each class (unless your show sets a different limit — the entry form tells you how many you’ve used).
+What does 'Pending approval' on my entry mean?
Some divisions have a quick review step: an organizer looks at each new entry and approves it (or moves it to the correct class if it was entered in the wrong one — you’d get an email if so). No action needed from you.
+I forgot my password.
On the log in page, use “Forgot your password?” to email yourself a reset link — or use the one-time sign-in link option to skip the password entirely.
+I'm outside the district — can I still try it?
Each show sets its own eligibility rules (check its registration page). When a practice show is open, anyone is welcome to join it and try the site with zero pressure.

How judging works
Get set up
You’ll receive an invitation email — use its button to set your password. Complete your profile, and you’ll land on your judging page. If judging hasn’t opened yet, you’re all set; we’ll email you when it’s time.
Open a section
Your judging page lists your sections — one class within one division, shown with its progress. Click Start judging to jump into the first unfinished one.
Browse and rate
View photos as a gallery or one at a time (arrow keys move, number keys 0–5 rate). Stars are your private sorting aid — use them to shortlist favorites, then filter to your top-rated photos. You can sort by number, stars, or rose name. Click any photo to see it full size.
Cast your placements
Pick your 1st through 4th place in the dropdowns — these are your official votes. A rose you’ve already placed is greyed out in the other slots. If you believe no photo deserves a place, tick No award for that slot. Press Save placements — once every place is decided, the section marks itself reviewed and you move to the next one.
+Why can't I see or judge a certain division?
If you entered photos in a division as a contestant, you can’t judge that division — that’s the conflict-of-interest rule. You’ll still judge the others. Organizers can also assign judges to specific divisions.
+Can I change my placements after saving?
Yes — any time until the organizers close the round. Just reopen the section, change your picks, and save again.
+Do my star ratings count toward the score?
Not directly. Placements (1st–4th) are your official votes and carry the points. Stars are your private shortlisting tool — they’re only ever used as a final tie-breaker between otherwise equal entries.
+When am I finished?
Your section list shows a green Reviewed ✓ on every section you’ve completed. When they’re all green, you’re done — thank you! If there’s another judging round later, you’ll get an email.
